Our goals when remaking the map were:
Cache is now available on the Steam Workshop and competitive platforms such as FACEIT and ESEA, we hope you'll try it out and give us your feedback. Below is a brief tour of the new map. Use the sliders to see how Cache has changed from its previous version.
Although we experimented with different changes, this site remained largely the same.
Grenades may now be thrown from checkers into mid (and vice versa), allowing more potential strategies, support maneuvers and fake outs.
The buildings around the site have been lowered, allowing for more creative use of utility.
Forklift has been streamlined, creating cleaner gunplay.
The tall building behind the bombsite has been redesigned to a fence, allowing for more creative use of utility in Bombsite A.
A new crate has also been added along the fence for additional defensive cover.
A new window ledge gives defenders better eyes on mid, allowing for more defensive diversity. This also creates an extra threat for attackers to consider.
Dark spot now has a roof above it which provides additional cover for aggressive CT's from the T Boost.
Defenders now have a few more options at their disposal on Cache!
While there have been adjustments throughout the map, the core gameplay remains the same. Although the map has received private testing, we hope to continue collecting valuable feedback after this official release. We will continue to observe the gameplay and make tweaks to fine-tune the map as we collect more feedback.
Queue up and try out the map, and let us know what you think! We hope you will enjoy this new version of Cache!
